Scientology Loses Celebrity: Jason Beghe leaves and denounces cult

Television star Jason Beghe has left Scientology (or “blown”, in Scientology lingo) and has strongly denounced the cult that he was a member of for 14 years, describing it as “destructive and a rip-off”. According to Beghe, the cult is a danger to one’s spiritual, mental, emotional health and evolution, and the further one advances in the cult the worse they get. Fox News’ Roger Friedman expects Beghe’s dramatic defection to “shake (Scientology’s) Celebrity Center to its core”. There are no doubt many thousands of protesters, ex-Scientologists, and friends and family of past and present Scientologists who are hoping that Friedman is correct.

Beghe’s denouncement of the Cult of Scientology was filmed by Mark “Wise Beard Man” Bunker, one of the most dedicated opponents and whitle-blowers that Scientology has ever faced. Bunker and Beghe have thus far released a 3-minute teaser of the interview which is presented below.

They just played Beghe’s video on A Current Affair (a top rating, if at times a bit dodgy, current affairs TV show here in Australia) so some prime time exposure.
