Operation: Human Shield – Scientology’s Latest Means of Suppressing Criticism

Posted by: RB on: June 8, 2008

In the following absolutely hilarious video, OT (Operating Thetan) level Scientologists create a human chain to block the view of other Scientologists of Tory “Magoo” Christman and her protest sign encouraging Scientology to stop destroying families.

This has got to be one of the cheesiest means of suppressing criticism that I have ever seen.

In her 100th YouTube video, in addition to discussing a number of other things, Tory discusses how ridiculous and hilarious this human chain operation really was.

Lets all collectively laugh at Scientology, both for this gaff and in general…. Seriously.

What a joke. This CULT needs to be dismantled ASAP.

I liked the comment in the first video – “You’re mad at us now, we’re suppresive persons…. but when the Church comes crashing down, we’re gonna be here for you too.”

Actually, that would make a good picket sign:

When $cientology Falls
We’re Here For You
Free of Charge

It would have had more impact if she was actually holding the sign up.

ozatheist: That was my reaction. If she was actually holding the sign up in a readable position (instead of upside down below her waist), the human wall would have had no effect.

But where did this take place? It’s indoors somewhere–is it somewhere that a protest permit is required, or there was some similar reason that she could not hold the sign up, rather than act like she was just milling around?

She explains it in the second video… it was a Flag World Event at the Kodak Center, where Anonymous was picketing outside. Somebody else went inside, so she decided to go in and check it out. Since she was inside a private facility (but one open to the public where Scientology was only using a small part of it), she really couldn’t be picketing there unless she wanted to get thrown out.
