Scientology can’t win against a bunch of internet pranksters-turned-activists. Its sad really.

That is certainly not what is happening. But it isn’t my place to go into great detail, I will continue to observe and lighten the atmosphere as best I can.

Hopefully all these former Scientology members will sit down together and write a book so I can read it.

I’m sure it will be more of a fun read than “Dianetics” was… for a science fiction writer L Ron Hubbard sure did suck a lot of ass.

However, in the meantime, I ask you this: How do you consider the Fair Game statement an ethical statement under any construal? It still says quite clearly that SPs can be deprived of property, tricked, sued, lied to, injured or destroyed. How exactly is this ethical? And also, how the fuck does an organization with this official policy engage in criticizing psychiatry? Lastly, how do you claim that it was cancelled beyond a simple cancelation in name? Even in its cancelation it is stated that the cancelation does not change how SPs are to be handled.

Fair Game: The most common and probably the most devastating manifestation of this tactic is the use of allegations concerning the so-called “Fair Game” policy of the Church. The term “Fair Game” has been misrepresented and repeatedly used by the Church’s litigation adversaries as a means to create prejudice against the Church. To accomplish that end, counsel fashions a declaration in which the witness identifies an ugly event — real, imagined, or just plain invented — and then alleges that it was a deliberate act which was committed by the Church. The idea is to create the false impression that the Church is committing acts of retribution in pursuit of “Fair Game.”

A central element of exploiting the “Fair Game” tactic is to make certain that the allegations are crafted so they cannot be objectively disproved. In other words, the declarant makes an allegation of a bad or harmful or harassing act that cannot be documented in a tangible form and then alleges that it was done by the Church pursuant to the Fair Game “policy”. By so doing, the declarant has put the Church in the impossible position of trying to prove a negative and trying to prove it without documentation. It becomes a matter of the declarant’s word against that of the Church, and by making the act alleged sufficiently despicable, the result is prejudice against the Church.

That’s what’s happening.

I always knew Scientology = Nordic Mythology

If someone says I’m wrong, that attacks my self esteem, because I know that I’m never wrong. I avoid the problem by sticking my fingers in my ears and shouting “La la la, I can’t hear you.” until the person goes away, but obviously on the internet you need more sophisticated methods of argumentation. I’ll have to remember about accusing the person of trolling.

I always thought of the really tough one’s being Scientology’s “Grunt Troops”… World War One Cannon Fodder Types.

Y’know what I love about indoctrinated Scientologists: They’re steady. You know where they stand. They’ll believe the same thing on Wednesday that they were told on Monday, NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS ON TUESDAY!

I do enjoy how Louanne has gone from ‘Neutral’ to ‘Pro Defense’ in record time… well actually I’ve likely seen quicker transformations, however the point remains that Louanne seems more eager to attack your credibility, then present rational arguments.

Let us hope this changes, for the sake of critical analysis.
