JP.DK reports that Early this morning Danish police arrested several individuals of Muslim background suspected of conspiring to kill Kurt Westergaard, one of the 12 Danish cartoonists who on September 30, 2005 published cartoons of alleged Muslim prophet.
The Danish Security and Intelligence Service had been tracking three of the arrested suspects for a number of months. Two of the suspects are Tunisian citizens, the other is a Danish citizen of Moroccan origin. It is expected that all 3 suspects will be discharged after interrogation, with the two non-Danes being deported. Discharged? Deported? If these individuals are being held for conspiring to commit a terrorist act of murder, I hardly see how discharge and deportation are the appropriate responses. If they are guilty, it is certainly not the appropriate response. And if they are innocent, then deportation is surely inappropriate.
The September 2005 cartoon fiasco sparked a Muslim fundamentalist mob reaction which included violent demonstrations, the boycott of Danish goods, and the burning of Danish embassies. That sounds like an appropriate response…
Westergaard’s cartoon, which depicted the alleged prophet wearing a bomb turban with a lit fuse, attracted particular attention. Westergaard’s stated intention behind the cartoon was to reflect how many people exploit the alleged prophet to legitimize terror. Quite reasonably, however, the cartoon was seen as depicting the alleged prophet as a terrorist. Nevertheless, the response of the Muslim extremists was absolutely abhorrent.
Westergaard and is family now live in fear, knowing based on information from the Danish Security and Intelligence Service that there are people (read: certain Muslim extremists) out there that are intent on pursuing his death. Westergaard expects that he will have to live in fear and under constant protection for the rest of his life.
This is absolutely deplorable. The man made a cartoon and now he has to live his life in fear of a bunch of delusional Islamist blood-thirsty tyrants. This is inexcuseable. These extremists should be ashamed of themselves, though of course they aren’t. Moderate Muslims should be standing up to their extremist counterparts, as should the rest of human civilization. And all of those politically correct accomodationalist liberals* should stop rewarding Islamic terrorism by acting as if Islam is deserving of special considerations.
*Note: I am not calling all liberals politically correct accomodationalists. I am liberal-minded and am all for social justice.

In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
Danish Cartoons and all blasphemy are a crusade against “The Mercy to Mankind”.
Prophet Muhammad Salallahu alaihi wa sallam is
- the man who firmly stood against injustice
- the man who liberated women and guaranteed them their rights
- the man who spoke for respectful rehabilitation of widows and orphans
- the man who diminished the raging fire of racism and inequality
- the man who rightfully conveyed the word of Allah, Most High
- the man who termed the liberation of slaves as a merciful act, an expiation of sins
- the man who untiringly brokered Peace between warring tribes
- the man who convinced to the world that humanity is a single race
- the man who endorsed social justice in the greatest way possible – simply by adhereing to it
- the man who established a moral and just system in society in the form of shariah
- the man who loved his neighbor more than his life
- the man who greatly upheld loyalty in friendship.
- the man who forgave his staunchest enemies
- the man who shared with the poor and the rich
- the man who never spoke a word untrue
- the man who honoured his guest, and treated them the best.
- the man who visited the sick and the old, comforting them with kindest of words, even to those who opposed him the most.
- the man whose faith was the greatest, and yet lived life the simplest.
- the man who loved to pray and to kneel, and shared his every meal.
- the man so honest even his enemies swore by it.
- the man most upright even at times of strife.
- the one muslims regard as their True leader,
- the one muslims love and respect more than their lives or their family,
- the one muslims believe is the most beloved among the entire creation of Allah Almighty,
- the pious one that everybody, muslims and non muslims, unmistakably believe as the Greatest Human Being ever to have walked on Earth.
- the one who is the biggest cause of grief to all evil whisperers and evil doers.
- and the one that the immoral Danish cartoonist, Danish media, Danish publicists and associates constantly slander against out of prejudice and bigotism.
The current state of the world is ” When you do good, know it when impounded with criticism and abuse, and if you have sinned know it when YOU become the “apple in the eye” of the self styled “LIBERAL WORLD”, (or if you get nominated for a noble prize!)
Denmark is fairly acquainted with the FACT that Islam forbids picture making and that Muslims will never Forgive Blasphemy, and yet so as to provocate muslims extremely, Denmark permitted the printing, publishing and distribution of blasphemous
material directed towards the noblest of all nobles, the leader of all prophets, the messiah of mercy to mankind – Prophet Muhammad Salallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam……..all in the pretext of “FREEDOM of EXPRESSION”!!
Expression of what? Hatred and jealously???…..
Guess they have choosen to forget what the “Freedom of Expression” really stands for???
Well, its about time they realize that it stands for
Liberty of faith
Liberty of honour
Liberty of justice
Liberty of modesty
and more than anything – it is the Liberty of Rightful WAY of LIFE!
Clearly, it doesn’t stand for suppression – suppression of beliefs that differ culturally and religiously.
Modesty and Vulgarity have different names in the west as is evident from the following views:
To the WEST, it is upright when u have “women walking nude” in the name of FASHION
To the West, it is upright when u have topless women working in strip clubs
To the West, it is upright when u have proms where “loosing ones’ virginity” is the criterion to become trendy
To the West, it is upright when u commercialize women to market commodities as cheap as a shavingrazor
To the West, it is upright when u write untrue and abusive stuff about a faith that has millions of believers
To the West, it is upright to indulge in alcohol, which clearly diminishes the sense that distinguishes good and bad
But shockingly, when a muslim woman chooses “not to dress provocatively and to cover her hair” out of HER FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION OF MODESTY and BELIEF, she FACES UPROAR AND SEVERE CRITICISM FROM THE WEST so much so that legislations have
drafted rules banning any such attire …….WHY? Because it does not endorse vulgarity- the west’s”freedom of expression ” !
This is an Act revealing the Highest Degree of Bigotism perpetrated by chauvinists who fiercly envy the “MAgnetism of Islam” in the growing world.
Yes, it hurts when bigotism extends to this level….but we will now show our “FREEDOM of EXPRESSION”.
We condemn these acts of prejudice and reject the falsehood
An Apology on mere papers is not what we want
An Apology from within is what we demand
PEace!
sadia masroor
Jonolon, your outburst is sheerly out of utter ignorance, May Allah Most Merciful give you the sense of gaining knowledge and wisdom that will lead you out of ignorance – ignorance of righteousness.
You must act conscientiously and study the live of Prophet Muhammad Salallahu alaihi wa sallam, and inshallah, u’ll regret for believing in the lies and deliberate misinterpretation of the life of the Greatest Human Being on earth.
Woooooooo!
jonolan, Great knowledge about islam. And, What a gesture shown about sadia in the last para? According to my knowledge (don’t claim to have as much as jonolan), prophets never do anything on their own. They are guided from the God, as jesus (peace be up on him), moses (peace be upon him), ibrahim (peace be upon him) were guided. And, the God’s wisdom is perhaps more than mepola’s and jonolan’s wisdom.
In later years, the marriage of Aisha (Allah be pleased with her) in early age with the prophet (peace be upon him) proved this fact. A major portion of islamic studies about women came through Aisha (Allah be pleased with her). She was the most knowledgeable among the Muslim women of her age.
She used to sit with the other women and pass on the knowledge that she had received from the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and long after he had died, and as long as she lived, she was a source of knowledge and wisdom for both women and men.
Abu Musa once said, “Whenever a report appeared doubtful to us, the Companions of the Prophet, and we asked ‘A’isha about it, we always learned something from her about it.”
As for as, the age of aisha (Allah be pleased with her) is concern, the girls living in warm countries (specially arab countries) became adult early (about 9-12 years of age). so, this is not an issue. This is just a non-issue which is often raised to put down the strong personality of the prophet (peace be upon him).
I don’t want to crawl back anyone, just want to act according to the knowledge we have. As, knowledge is the light which guides in the darkness of ignorance. so, put the light on….
Regards
Mepola
jonolan,
what about prophet Muhammad’s (Sallalla ho Alaihi Wasallam) first marriage with Khadija (Allah be pleased with her) when she was 40? prophet’s life answers every blame on him.
As for as your second objection is concern, The Quran is the proof of the truth of the prophet (Sallalla ho Alaihi Wasallam)? Allah has challenged the whole world to bring even a single verse like Quran ? So, do consider it as well.
May Allah guide us all to the reality.
say Aameen
Mepola
jonolan,
Your words are showing your inside failure. I am surprised, whether you are really so ignorant or trying to be ‘innocent’ that you are quoting translation of verse without knowing its context [66:6]. This address of the God is not for the prophet (Sallalla ho Alaihi Wasallam), but for the whole mankind in general. Similarly, no other mentioned quote is evident to any sin of the prophet (Sallalla ho Alaihi Wasallam). Quran is full with the praise of the prophet (Sallalla ho Alaihi Wasallam).
Once again, prophet’s marriage with Zaynab (Allah be pleased with her) revealed another law from the God to the mankind that an adopted-son is not the real-son (as was believed in arabs). So, every aspect of prophet’s life is a modal for the humanity.
Infact, Quran is guidance to the God for those who want to be guided towards God. The prophet (Sallalla ho Alaihi Wasallam) was the most successful and the most honorable personality in the history of mankind. And, many visionary western scholars even have also admitted this fact.
I am not a religious scholar but even then can understand your shortcomings about understanding Islam and the prophet (Sallalla ho alaihi wasallam).
I would not say any more but praise to God that whoever is right among us, May Allah strengthen the other to understand his views.
However, if someone tries to dis-honor the prophet just for the taste of the tongue, then Allah is omnipresent and the most powerful.
Regards,
Mepola

“I am not calling all liberals politically correct accomodationalists.”
WTF? You describe the perps as “several individuals of Muslim background” and you have the nerve to call someone else an accomodationalist?
The would-be murderers were Muslims! Freaking rag-headed jihadis. have the balls and accuracy of thought to call them what they are. The extremist Muslims – a small subset – thrive on the liberal apologists who give them the benefit of the doubt out of fear of seeming pejudiced. Don’t be one of them!
